The ACES School Council is an advisory group comprised of parents/guardians, teachers, school administration and community members who believe in enabling student learning, promoting a sense of community, and supporting well-being for all.
The ACES School Council is a parent-led team that works to ensure that Adrienne Clarkson Elementary School remains a vibrant and enriching learning environment that promotes student success. We talk about everything and anything that is important to the ACES community, as well as raise funds to provide necessities that are no longer covered by school budgets. School council membership provides an opportunity provide input into children's learning environment, work together on programs and events, raise issues, ask questions, and stay up-to-date on all new and important matters at our school.

School Council is a fantastic way to connect with the school community! It is a great opportunity to come together, discuss current and future issues that impact our school’s students and their families, and feel involved. In the process, we all get to know each other a little better!

Membership on School Council is open to all parents/guardians of students enrolled at ACES. The membership of a school council changes from year to year. Each year, potential new council members will be recruited for election, elections will take place, and the newly elected members will be oriented to their tasks. Ideally, the membership of the school council will reflect the diversity of its school community. Parents and guardians must form the majority of members on the council. All members may bring before the council the issues and concerns of the groups that they represent and provide links to those groups. For a more comprehensive understanding of membership on school councils, please visit the Ontario Ministry of Education’s School Councils: A Guide for Members
